Essie Cute As a Button

Spring is finally in sight! So that means no more dark nails, and out come the pinks! I Essie Cute As A Button, especially for spring! Its one of those colors that when you glance down at your hands or notice your nails when you are texting or something, that you say 'damn that is a cute color!' Its true, even now when I am typing this my nails look so good with this color. It just gives your hands a nice little pick me up and getting ready for spring! It also rakes in the compliments every time I wear it!

What's your favorite nail color for spring? Cheers!

Bobbi Brown Pressed Powder

It took me the longest time to find a good pressed powder. I wanted something that was sheer but also my skin tone to just set my makeup. It also had to be invisible to the naked eye but still help combat with my oiliness. So when I tried the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder I knew I had found the one.

This powder gives the perfect amount of coverage without making my face look like I rolled around in powder. I typically pat the powder into my skin with the Real Techniques powder brush, which side note: the biggest, fluffiest, softest face brush I have ever used. I also ten to wear this alone on days when I just have on concealer since it does add a sheer wash of color. It is the perfect sheer powder for me!

What do you think? What powder do you use? Cheers!

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer

I am sure by now a lot of people know what this product is. The new Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer, is the latest addition to the Baby line that Maybelline has. I was really curious to try this product so my roommate picked it up in the drug store for me. The product claims to give 'pore less smooth skin perfection' but I am going to have to disagree.

When I first applied this product I rubbed it into my skin as I would any other primer. It has that silicon feel to it, making the product very thick. I felt almost greasy when smoothed onto my skin. I applied the rest of my makeup as normal and went about my day. Although it might have blurred my pores slightly it did not erase them and made my makeup slide off my face! Well not really, but it did not hold my makeup in place that is for sure.

The second time I applied it, I decided to pat it into my skin, as I had seen another girl talking about this technique and how it made this product perform better. I also only concentrated it where I get the most visible pores, my nose. Still I felt greasy and, still I felt as if my makeup was sliding off in the areas I had applied this product. All in all, I would say that this did not do what it promised. So I am back to the drawing board for a drugstore primer. Any suggestions?

Does this product work for you? Cheers!

40 Days, No Buys

I always think it is a good idea to participate in Lent. Whether you are religious or not it is always nice to give something up for a while and concentrate on other aspects of life. Last year I gave up shopping in general. Although it was hard, nothing terrible happened to me and I survived!

So this year I have decided to be a little bit more specific with my shopping problem and not buy any beauty, bath, or body products for the 40 days of Lent. I decided this because, I have started to notice that every pay check I will buy at least one new beauty product whether it be drug store or high end, a lip product or a face product it does not matter I will buy something.

In an attempt to stop this I have decided to give up beauty for 40 days and focus on the amazing products I do have and use those. When you are product addict like myself,

it is easy to buy something, use a couple of times, and then stick it in the back of a drawer somewhere and completely forget about it. So wish me luck, I know it is going to be hard but nothing bad every happened to anyone from not buying something…that I know of.

Are you giving anything up for Lent? Cheers!

Korres Greek Yoghurt

As promised here is my review on my recent face cream! I never thought I would be putting greek yoghurt on my face, usually I just stick to eating it but there is a first time for everything! I had heard of Korres before for their really great face products and I was in the market for a new moisturizer so after reading countless reviews on multiple products I finally settled on the Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream. I have dry spots but also oily and acne prone skin so I guess you could say that I have combination skin but in the winter time my skin gets really dry. So I decided it was time to try a heavier face cream and I am in love with this one!

Putting greek yoghurt on your face is actually a good thing. The properties in the yoghurt help with acne but it also helps with moisturizing and making your skin feel smooth. This product does just that. I use it day and night and my skin loves it! I have definitely noticed a difference in my skin being more plump and glowing after using this for a week. It absorbs into the skin well and is not overly thick for my combination skin. I recommend this to any oily girl looking for a thicker face cream.

What face cream do you use? Cheers!
